Detective Marcos currently investigates crimes generated in the Mission Valley, Serra Mesa, Kearny Mesa and Tierresanta communities. Detective Marcos has been previously assigned in commands other than Eastern Division including Western Division and Central Division. His litany of assignments outside the commands include toe police Canine Unit, SWAT, the Mayoral Executive Protection Detail and a number of years as a much appreciated Acting Sergeant in both Eastern Division and Mid City Division. His contagious humor make the division a livelier place.
Detective Marcos is married with two adult daughters. His favorite place to eat in Eastern Division is Emilliano's Mexican Restaurant on Mission Gorge Road. Interestingly, Detective Marcos balances his dedication to police work with the demands of being a lead singer in a top 40 country western band, Emerald River. Detective Marcos also was involved in the successful termination of the 1995 stolen Tank pursuit through San Diego.
